Portraits: Creating portraits
in watercolorcan be
challenging. Watercolor is a
particularly unforgiving
medium (changes are difficult).
None-the-less Joyce has
succeededin making sensitive
and exciting portraits for a
number of commissions. Most
recently, she has produced
what she calls “Heritage”
paintings, where she uses
multiple images to express
significant aspects of the
subject’s personality, life,
and history.
